Rilke, "Weißt du, ich will mich schleichen"

A work ("So lightly then will I escape") by this Austrian poet.  You can read the original here.

So lightly then will I escape
Far from this loud and brazen scene,
Once I espy the wan stars' sheen
In bloom above the oaks' broad cape,
And there and then shall know the shape.

Should I choose paths of rarest gaze,
Untouched by print or human glee,
Among the palest evening leas?
No dream but this within my maze:
That you would dream to go with me.
